Last week we were able to get away to Eunice's cottage on the French River. It was great to get out of town for a while and just relax. Weather was wonderful and even when it was hot, the humidity wasn't too bad. Whenever you're by the water, it never seems to get out of control.

Cricket had a great time swimming as expected and she even swam out to us while we were in the water, without the need for us to throw something in for her to get. Did a little canoeing around the river. Cricket came along for that too. It really makes you appreciate how massive the river is as you can paddle around in what feels like a bay for hours and you still haven't scratched the surface of the river itself. Perhaps one day I'll canoe a chunk of it.
