FROM THE WEATHER NETWORK [TO STAR CHOICE CUSTOMERS]
Star Choice intends to move The Weather Network (TWN) from the basic tier to the “Your Life” bundle.
You will be charged the same cost for basic service, despite the loss of this vital service.
Approximately 600,000 Star Choice subscribers will lose this vital service without any advanced warning, explanation or consultation.
Subscribers who wish to keep TWN will have to subscribe to the “Your Life” bundle at an extra cost of $6.99 per month plus taxes.
We consider this proposed move unacceptable.
That is why we will take every action possible to prevent this arbitrary repackaging.
We have made some progress. On Monday June 7th, we sought an injunction from the Ontario Superior Court, which has temporarily delayed Star Choice from removing TWN from the basic tier until June 16th.
We encourage you to contact Star Choice at 1 888 554 STAR (7827) to voice your concern about this change and to tell them that you want to keep TWN on the basic tier.
