I still haven’t gotten my new Linksys BEFW11S4 version 4 but I did decide to try to do what I wanted to do before with the version 2 that they sent me. I wanted it to work as an access point rather than a wireless router so that I could use my IPv6 addresses, which Linksys products don’t yet support. So I plugged a crossover cable from my internal network into one of the LAN ports on the wireless router and disabled DHCP on the router. So now my router is issuing the DHCP and the IPv6 addresses for any wireless clients that connect. It worked perfectly.
I took this picture yesterday, looked funky. Makes for a nice desktop picture.
