Last night we went to see ultraLOfreq at Clinton’s at Bloor and Christie. Sex Without Souls opened for them and they’re some kind of 80 revival band and the lead singer has some sort of fat Ozzie-esque quality about him. Not my style, but they were pretty good for what they were. ultraLOfreq went on around 11:30 and rocked out. You can tell that the band was playing it’s heart out for the drummer who will be flying with his fiancĂ© to Australia where they will be getting married and she will be attending school. It’s the end of an era for the band without a drummer, they will have to start their hunt once again for a new one, and their once perfect symbiosys will have to be achieved with someone new. The singer is fairly flaming and he just gives me a bad vibe, but he does do good work. I think I’m going to refer to him from now on as Flaming Alex.

Tonight we’re going to see Ice Age. I can’t wait. I think it’s going to be like one of those movies where the ending is happy yet there’s some sadness invovled. Like the Lion King. But the good part about this movie is going to be the jokes designed for non-kids.
