Remember when encoding mp3 files was a 20 minute per track process? Those were the days weren’t they? I just copied some stuff off of CDs that I never listen to so that I can put them on my mp3 player and used a program called CD-DA Xtractor which copies the track as an mp3 file in about a minute per track. This was going to take forever, but now, it doesn’t look like it. I think one day, when I get a big 80 – 160gig drive I’ll take a couple days and encode every CD that I have and then build playlists to listen to good songs. Now that would be an archive!
