Every weekend should be a long weekend. On Saturday Brianne had a horse show to go to at Kingoak in Guelph. Very snooty place and they made me park on the road because for some reason, hosting a show and having enough parking for visitors and competitors is an idea that escapes them. Brianne did quite well dispite the terrential downpours that greeted the late morning/early afternoon. She got a clear round in the warm-up round and she got a 6th place in her last class. I think she could have walked away with another ribbon if Percy would have picked up his feet in the class before that one too.

Sunday was a textbook Sunday. We did nothing. It was wonderful.

Yesterday I helped build the new barn at Gillonna. I was hammering nails into the plywood which was covering the plastic wrap and insulation layers. It was relatively easy work, but my arm hurts now and every time the plywood was bouncing on the insulation, it was really hard to put the nails in and I ended up whacking my thumb really good. Blood bisters heal though, so I’ll be ready to help build stalls next weekend.
