     OUT OF WARRANTY!? This hard drive was built on September 12, 2003 and the warranty expired on November 13, 2004. Remember the good old days when hard drive manufacturers acutally stood behind their products? What total crap. How is that a fair deal at all? Now I have to buy a new hard drive to replace my dead one instead of just waiting for a new one to be RMA’d. Oh, and here’s a good question for you; will I buy any more Maxtor hard disks? Hell no! Unfortunately for them, I buy an average of 100 drives per year for myself and others, so it’s their loss. Lucky for Western Digital I guess.
