I have just discovered that in New York, 53rd and 3rd isn’t an actual interesection. Apparently Google Maps doesn’t care though and can map where it would be. So far, I’m lovin’ the Google maps. I’ve been using it in conjunction with ups.ca to track my package from San Francisco to here. (Should be here today, it left Concord at quarter to four this morning.) I’ve got a pair of SIP phones and analog adapters coming so that I can hook up my own Asterisk phone system. I’ve been doing a lot of homework on this and it’s really awesome. The dial plan can do pretty much whatever you want and you can build cool lings like interactive voice response (IVR) menus and a whole lot more. It also comes with sample sounds for pretty much everything so you don’t even have to go through the trouble of recording your own menus. Can’t wait. Once I have it set up, I can put you on hold.

I found out last night that my parents are getting a soft-coated Wheaten terrier. The puppies look like baby seals. Check ’em out
