There’s always new news at Google. Google has just come out with their new proxy program/service, the Google Web Accelerator. It basically uses Google’s ultra-cool cache to speed up your data transfers, so instead of a page coming from Siberia to your computer, it comes down Google’s phat pipe to the Google cache and then into your machine. I’m guessing they’re just relying on the peering arrangements they have with ISPs to make this work. Pretty funky. I haven’t downloaded it yet, but it’ll be something to do later. Too busy right now. Gotta make dinner, then build some web sites.
